Kentucky Monthly Magazine
Established in 1998, Kentucky Monthly magazine delivers an image of our complex Commonwealth as we find it today, free of outdated stereotypes and limitations. Visually exciting and conversationally driven, it highlights the people, places and events that make the Bluegrass State such a wonderful place to visit or call home.
Kentucky Monthly is about Kentucky and Kentuckians. Specializing in culture, entertainment, travel and dining, many famous Kentuckians have graced the cover, including actor George Clooney, Ashley Judd, Wendell Berry and Muhammad Ali.
In 2005 Kentucky Monthly was presented the Governor's Award in the Arts for media, the Commonwealth's highest honor in the arts. Also in 2005, Kentucky Monthly was featured in the Stu Pollard film, Keep Your Distance.
Kentucky Monthly was named the official state magazine for The Cup Experience, a series of events held in conjunction with the 2008 Ryder Cup, and the World Equestrian Games in 2010. Kentucky Monthly's staff has won numerous regional, state and national awards for graphic design, photography and writing.
Vested Interest Publications
Vested Interest Publications, the parent company of Kentucky Monthly, was incorporated in Frankfort, Ky., in 1998. In addition to the flagship magazine, VIP also produces state and national publications for clients and special projects such its recent Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games Kentucky Guidebook.
