This year’s Tomato Festival will feature tomato tasting of many varieties — all locally grown. It will be bigger and better, featuring numerous attractions outside the visitor's center, and additional children's games, lectures and prizes. Guest chefs will give demonstrations.
Speakers discussing the culture, diseases, varieties and uses of tomatoes are John Strang, University of Kentucky Extension Horticulture Professor; Roger Postley, Lexington's own Mr. Tomato; and Dr. Norm Strobel, Bluegrass Community and Technical College Biology Professor.
Admission is $2.
