Foto Founders 2016 FotoFocus at BCM
BCM pays tribute to five local founders of photography education.
The exhibit, which will be on display October 1-31, features works by Jerry Stratton and Jane Alden Stevens, University of Cincinnati; Barbara Houghton and Barry Andersen, Northern Kentucky University; and Cal Kowal, the Art Academy of Cincinnati. The exhibit is guest-curated by local artist Diane Kruer.
The goal of Foto Founders is to educate the public about the academic roots of photography in Greater Cincinnati, to introduce the community to these leaders and to the rich history behind the area's university photography programs, to honor the founders' legacies as both teachers and artists and to foster an environment of learning within the region's photo community.
The exhibit continues through October 31 during regular museum hours.
Admission is free to FotoFocus Passport holders and museum members and included with museum admission for all others.
