Frazier Museum Winter Break Camp
Frazier History Museum is inviting children, grades 1-6, to join a series of full-day programming. Come for just one day, or join us for all six, as we explore the traditional music, games, tastes and unique festivities of winter-time and first-of-the-year celebrations from all corners of the globe.
Camps run from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. with optional extended care until 5:30 p.m.
Monday, Dec. 21: Holidays in Louisville
From Louisville’s beginnings, neighborhoods were made of immigrants and settlers from all over the world. We’ll spend today taking a light and fun look at the history of our city, through the eyes of families who settled in certain areas, and how they celebrated with their families, though the years.
Tuesday, Dec. 22: Days of Christmas Past
A lot of important things have happened around Christmas-time in the past. We’ll take our usual fun and sideways look at everything from kings being crowned, rivers being crossed, Space being conquered and much more.
Wednesday, Dec. 23: History's Gifts
Teddy Bears and Tinker Toys were the most popular holiday gifts in the early 1900s and in some ways, not much has changed. We’ll spend today learning about, playing with, and creating our own toys, games and gifts from all parts of history.

There are some amazing New Year’s celebrations through history and today and we’ll learn about and participate in a few of the most fun and imaginative ones we’ve found. Today’s focus will include Brazil, South Africa, Peru, Egypt and more.
Wednesday, Dec. 30th: Winter Break, or Summer Camp?
We’re about as far away from summer as can be, but that’s not going to stop us from pretending! We’ll treat this day like its June again, with many of our Summer Camp greatest hits. From indoor canoes to Olympic Games, we’ll beat the winter blues with warmer fun.
Fee per Day Camp: $35 per day for Museum Members and $45 per day Non-Members.
Need a little extra time? Frazier Museum Winter Camp now offers an extended care option from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. During this post-camp “chill out” time, children will enjoy camp-themed movies, books, and simple art projects, all under the supervision of paid staff. Fee: $15 per day.
