Memories of Elvis: Chris McDonald at the Lancaster Theatre
Get all shook up in a celebration of the life and music of Elvis Presley, arguably the greatest entertainer and pop culture icon of our time. Elvis, recognized by TIME magazine as the “Artist of the Century,” has sold more records than any other artist or group in the history of modern music. Even after death, his image and music continue to be loved and celebrated throughout the world. Chris Macdonald will share the story of the “King of Rock-N-Roll” and highlight several stages of Elvis’ career – the early years, the movies, the black leather ’68 comeback, and the white fringe ’70 Vegas concerts. This is a truly dynamic performance complete with costumes, dancers and high-energy concert band.
Macdonald is the only tribute artist approved and contracted by Elvis Presley Enterprises for annual festivities at Graceland’s Heartbreak Hotel. He has appeared with Elvis’ own original backup group, the Jordanaires, performed in famous Legends in Concert stage productions and private performances in Las Vegas, Branson, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Maryland, Florida, and now Kentucky. If you are still lonesome for the energy, charisma and incredible voice of Elvis, join us for this notable evening at the Lancaster Grand Theatre.
