The Drop Tour at The Mercury Ballroom
Three astonishing hip hop artists who have dedicated their art to move people in a way that only music can, are joining together to bringyou The Drop Tour. Experience worship in a whole new way on Sunday, November 22 with DJ Promote, Capital Kings, and NF.
Promote (Carlos Trevino) has performed for tens of thousands around the world with artists Chris Tomlin, Propaganda and other and currently opens for Lecrae's Anomaly tour, which visited The Louisville Palace in November 2014. Originally from Texas, Promote was attracted to DJ culture as a kid through breakdancing, film and graffiti art. He found faith as he was learning to DJ. Through it, he found a reason to move crowds. "When you're up there and playing these sounds, they're doing things to people beyond just what you hear. Those sounds are actually triggering emotion. For me, it's about getting people excited, then turning that excitement into something that will last forever."
Originally from Washington D.C., Capital Kings is comprised of Franklin, Tenn. residents, Jonathan White and Cole Walowac. The duo has been creating quite a buzz over the past year, infusing an elements of pop, rock, hip hop and rap into their songs. Capital Kings has already begun to make their mark, remixing on some of the industry’s most acclaimed artists’ records including TobyMac, Group 1 Crew, Mandisa and Britt Nicole.
Nate Feurstein, recording and performing as the hip-hop alternative artist, NF, is capitol CMG Label Group's most recent signing and most compelling new talent. On his debut self-titled EP, this 23 year-old Gladwin, Michigan native tells his story with lyrical vulnerability complimented by raw energy. His music draws from many real life struggles, including beingabused as a kid, struggling with anger issues, and losing his mother to a drug overdose.
Tickets are $15 in advance. Showtime is 6:30p.m. – Doors open at 5:30 p.m. All ages are welcome. Service charges not included on ticket prices. Tickets subject to price increases day of show.
