The Filson Presents Bourbon through Bluegrass
Bernie Lubbers and Hickory Vaught will bring “Bourbon through Bluegrass” to Saint’s Pizza and Pub in Saint Matthews. This program is sponsored by The Filson Historical Society and will take participants on a tasting tour through the history of bourbon. Throughout the performance, participants will have the opportunity to experience the evolution of bourbon by tasting the different whiskies and bourbons that were produced in the 1700s and comparing them to present day varieties.
Bourbon history will be shared by Bernie Lubbers, the global whiskey ambassador for Heaven Hill Distillery in Bardstown. Musician Hickory Vaught will accompany Lubbers as they play bluegrass favorites during the event.
Tickets for the event are $40 and include five different bourbon tastings, music, and hors d’oeurves.
This event will be held on Friday, April 15 at 6:00 p.m. at Saint’s Pizza and Pub, 131 Breckenridge Lane, Louisville. Reservations are strongly suggested. To register, please visitfilsonhistorical.org/events or call The Filson at (502) 635-5083.
