The Man on TV at The Carnegie Center
In 1983, former U.S. Army Green Beret James Godwin told his soldier’s story to America on the CBS Evening News. Among the millions watching was Lexington’s Graham Shelby, the 12-year-old son James had never met. In this unique one-man show, Graham uses video, images, music, and storytelling to describe his 25-year journey to understand his father’s battles. The Carnegie Center is proud to present this powerful one-hour performance that demonstrates how veterans and the people who love them can connect through stories.
In partnership with this event, Graham will lead a memoir writing class on Saturday, October 22 at the Carnegie Center.
