The Other Mozart at Centre College’s Norton Center
The final performance in the Weisiger Theatre is a one-woman tour-de-force: The Other Mozart. The true and untold story of Nannerl Mozart, the sister of Amadeus – a prodigy, a keyboard virtuoso and composer, who performed throughout Europe with her brother to equal acclaim, but whose work and story faded away, lost to history as she acceded to the role of wife and mother, according to the social dictates of her time. The Norton Center is home to an annual performing arts season of professional touring presentations. It is also the primary venue on campus for music and theatrical productions, lectures, other convocations and live student entertainment.
