Art[Squared] Anonymous Art Sale
Louisville Visual Art presents the 4th annual Art[Squared] anonymous 8" x 8" art sale. The sale will be held on April 9th from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm in LVA's new facility located at 1538 Lytle Street in Portland. All of the proceeds will continue to support their flagship education program, Children's Fine Art Classes (CFAC). As this year has brought about many great changes for LVA, this year's Art[Squared] plans to reflect this positive growth as the organization moves into a brighter future. Over 200 artists have created 8" x 8" works of art for the sale, which will be available for $100/each. All artists will remain anonymous until the squares are purchased- once a piece is sold the artist's name will be revealed.
"The art[squared] sale and viewing party provides a unique opportunity for our community of artists to come together to support LVA's Children's Fine Art Classes. Since 1925, CFAC has had a significant impact throughout our community. Art[squared] is an opportunity to honor that past and celebrate future success and growth of the program." said Lindy Casebier, LVA's Executive Director.
LVA will be hosting a ticketed Artist Preview, Sale, and Party, the night before on April 8th at the Lytle facility. Doors will open at 7:00pm and the sale will begin at 7:30pm. $20 will provide the opportunity meet the artists, enjoy food and libations, and buy artwork prior to the general public sale the next day. In celebration of the event, Damon Thompson was commissioned to create an 8 foot by 8 foot piece to be revealed at the reception on April 8th.
