BattleFrog Race at General Butler
General Butler State Resort Park will host the BattleFrog Obstacle Race Series, an outdoor obstacle course, on June 11.
The BattleFrog course, designed by Navy SEALs and SeaBees, will feature at least 25 obstacles over an 8 kilometer course. The end of the course will be marked with a race festival complete with food, music, entertainment and vendors.
“General Butler is the perfect setting for the BattleFrog course,” said Dave Jordan, park manager for General Butler. “We look forward to hosting participants from this area for this exciting challenge.”
The race will start at the front section of the park then move into the wooded hills that surround the lodge. The race is open to ages 13 and older. Shorter courses will be open for ages 4-8 and age 8 and older.
BattleFrog contestants are encouraged to stay at General Butler State Resort Park, which has ample lodge rooms, cottages and campgrounds. Call 1-866-462-8853 for reservations and information about the park.
General Butler State Resort Park is located in Carrollton, just off I-71. It is about 50 miles northeast of Louisville and 57 miles southwest of Cincinnati.
