Buffalo Trace Distillery and Frankfort Parks and Recreation to Host Annual Easter Egg Hunt
The most egg-citing day of the year is almost here! With Easter right around the corner, Buffalo Trace Distillery and the City of Frankfort Department of Parks, Recreation and Historic Sites are teaming up again to host the 17th Annual Buffalo Trace Distillery Easter Egg Hunt. This year’s event will take place Saturday, March 19. Festivities will start at 1 p.m., with the first hunt for the youngest guests getting underway in the gardens of Buffalo Trace Distillery at 1:15 p.m.
Children and parents are invited to search for thousands of treat-filled eggs. In addition, several eggs will be hidden to be redeemed for the grand prizes!
New this year, the age category for children ages 4 and under has been divided to give more opportunity to the youngest egg hunters. Areas will be marked off for children ages 2 and under, 3-4, 5-8, and 9-12. Ages 2 and under will begin egg hunting at 1:15 p.m., ages 3-4 will begin hunting at 1:35 p.m., ages 5-8 will hunt for eggs at 1:55 p.m. and ages 9-12 will hunt at 2:15 p.m.
Other festivities include refreshments and photos with the Easter Bunny. All activities are complimentary.
Buffalo Trace is located at 113 Great Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, Ky. Visitors are asked to enter at the Wilkinson Boulevard and Fair Oaks Lane traffic light, as the main entrance into the Distillery will be closed for this event. Event parking signs will be posted. In the event of rain, the Easter Bunny will greet the children for photos and pass out treats in the Buffalo Trace Clubhouse.
Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. No pets please.
