Come create and explore art with the Speed Art Museum!
Architecture is all around us. If your child enjoys using his or her imagination to make and build, then this is the camp to choose. This camp will focus on mixing fun with architecture by exploring multiple aspects of design and construction. From present day to the ancient world and even fantasy, they will learn to build with an artistic flare and become exposed to different methods of fabrication.
What makes this camp extra special? We will have several special guests visiting the campers. One of the scheduled special guests is Greg Gardiner, the Speed’s Director of Operations and Expansion. He is a Harvard graduate in architecture and is currently overseeing the Museum’s $50 million expansion. Mr. Gardiner will share a hardhat conversation with your child about what he likes about building and planning. The campers will wear official museum hardhats and have question and answer time.
Speed Museum members: $150; Non-Members: $175. Age group: 3rd-5th grades.
Space is limited. Early registration encouraged.
