Kentucky Opera Presents: The Marriage of Figaro
An evening filled with love, deception and jealousy that ends in marriage and reconciliation – all sung in Italian. The Carnegie is kicking off the 2015-16 Carnegie Concert Series in style with The Marriage of Figaro on Thursday, October 1, at 7:30pm in partnership with Kentucky Opera.
The Marriage of Figaro is one of Mozart’s most celebrated comic operas, and the best classical vocalists in Kentucky will take to The Carnegie stage to tell the tale of Figaro and his efforts to outwit the scheming Count to marry his beautiful bride, Susanna. The performance will be accompanied by supertitles to translate songs and dialogue.
Tickets for The Marriage of Figaro are $28; $25 for Carnegie Members, Enjoy The Arts members, and students. Tickets can be purchased through The Carnegie Box Office, open Tuesday through Friday 12pm – 5pm, in person or by phone at (859) 957-1940. Tickets are also available online at thecarnegie.com.
For individuals interested in attending multiple Carnegie Concert Series offerings, The Carnegie offers two subscription packages. A full subscription includes entry to each of the five Carnegie Concert Series shows at a savings of $20. A “Pick Three” subscription allows patrons to enjoy three shows of their choice, saving $3 on each.
