Crave Lexington, Central Kentucky’s signature outdoor, made-from-scratch food + music festival, will return to the MoonDance at Midnight Pass Amphitheater and Beaumont Circle September 13-14, 2014. Produced by Smiley Pete Publishing (tadoo.com’s parent company), the second annual event follows a successful first year, two-day event that featured 30 local food vendors, 14 live music acts, and about 10,000 visitors from all over the Bluegrass.
The 2014 festival will bring back some of last year’s favorite events, including several “pop-up” events in the weeks and months leading up the festival weekend, as well as much of the festival programming, which is geared toward kids and adults of all ages and levels of culinary interest.
Unique among music festivals, the Crave Lexington food + music makers’ festival is free and open for all to enjoy. The stage will feature well-known acts from across the region with a special focus on local talent.
Diverse cuisine vendors from across the Commonwealth will serve small plate ticketed foods, encouraging sampling from several vendors. Cooking demonstrations for all-ages, lots of kid-friendly activities and events, an on-site dinner, a sorghum harvesting, local artisans and speciality food vendors will all be part of the festivities this year.
