Doc Crow's presents bourbon dinner with Jimmy Russell
Doc Crow’s Southern Smokehouse and Raw Bar, 127 W. Main St., welcomes Wild Turkey Master Distiller and 60-year whiskey veteran Jimmy Russell for a four-course bourbon dinner Wednesday, Nov. 11. at 6:30 p.m. It includes a flight of three handcrafted small batch and single barrel selections from Wild Turkey and Doc’s Kentucky Spirit private barrel, and a bourbon cocktail with each course specially crafted to highlight the Southern flavors of the dish. Examples include fried green tomatoes, pork rinds, shrimp and grits and St. Louis-style ribs. Doc Crow’s famous bourbon-inspired Wilbur Sundae will be served for dessert. Throughout the evening, Russell will discuss each beverage selection and guide guests through a discussion of the distillation process. Cost is $50 per person, plus tax and gratuity.
