Drawn to Kentucky: Works on Paper
Most artists' work involves working with paper at some stage. While we tend to think of paper as a means to an end - for sketches, preliminary drawings, and notes - this exhibition celebrates works on paper as ends in themselves. Over 40 pieces by well-known and emerging Kentucky artists demonstrate a wide range of paper-based media: drawings, prints, photographs, watercolors, collage, and artist's books. From intimate to monumental in scale, these works also reveal a variety of subject matter and approaches. Landscape and portraiture, narratives and abstract compositions, careful observation and flights of imagination are on view.
