African Americans pay tribute to their heritage through special events that provide inspiration and reflect on a history of achievements.
The Annual Emancipation Celebration Parade is Saturday, August 10, at 11 a.m., with the lineup beginning at 10 a.m. The parade route is From Walter Jetton Boulevard at Washington Street to Robert Coleman Park.
Festivities and vendors at Robert Coleman Park immediately following the parade until evening.
