Equus & Jack’s Lounge Celebratation Dinner
Equus & Jack’s Lounge host dinner to celebrate Joy Perrine’s induction into the Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame
Four-course dinner with paired cocktails on Sept. 21 highlights 50-year industry bar veteran’s recognition
On Wednesday, Sept. 21, Equus & Jack’s Lounge will honor Joy Perrine, their bar manager, for her induction into the Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame with a four-course dinner. All the courses will be paired with signature bourbon cocktails by Perrine. The evening begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:00 p.m. The dinner with cocktails is $75 per person, plus tax and gratuity.
Commenting on this honor, Perrine, who has worked at Equus for 30 years, stated, “I am truly honored to be selected as a Hall of Fame member. It is humbling to be part of a group that includes bourbon industry luminaries like Jimmy Russell.”
In 2001, the Kentucky Distillers’ Association and Kentucky Bourbon Festival created the Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame as a way “to recognize individuals and organizations that have made a significant impact on Bourbon’s stature, growth and awareness.” It is the highest honor given by the industry. In September, the induction ceremony for new members into the Hall of Fame will take place during the Kentucky Bourbon Festival.
The Equus & Jack’s celebration menu for Perrine will include:
Bibb lettuce salad, Fuji apple, crispy country ham, pomegranate seeds, rosemary yogurt, Marcona almonds
Kentucky Bourbon Cider
Diver scallops, maple polenta, wilted arugula, cranberry ginger gastrique, crispy leeks
Filet, herb brown sugar barley, braised kale greens, sherry-roasted beets, mushroom demi-glace
Devil’s food cake, chocolate butter cream, bourbon-soaked pecans, salted caramel, chocolate Woodford ice cream
