Filson Historical Society Moon Pies and Moonshine
Join The Filson Historical Society for Moon Pies and Moonshine in the historic setting of Oxmoor Farm. This event includes a fried chicken dinner, moonshine and Moon Pie® tastings, live music by the Juggernaut Jug Band and the Kentucky RoundUps as well as yard games, a Moon Pie® eating contest, and a little history too!
Limestone Branch Distillery and Kentucky Peerless Distillery are providing moonshines for tasting and will be on hand to talk about modern moonshining methods. Bring a blanket or some lawn chairs and come out for some summertime fun for the whole family!
Moon Pies and Moonshine will be held on Saturday, June 25 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Oxmoor Farm, 720 Oxmoor Avenue, Louisville. Tickets are $15 for Filson members and $20 for non-members. Children 3 and under are free. Each ticket includes a fried chicken dinner and two drink tickets in addition to the moonshine and Moon Pie® tastings. Soft drinks, water, tea, and lemonade will also be available. Reservations are required and tickets must be purchased by June 24.
