Forkland Heritage Festival
The theme for this year's Forkland Heritage Festival & Revue is "It Feels Like Home." There will be an abundance of entertainment and activities, including an art show by local artists, live music, sorghum molasses making, horse-drawn wagon rides and hay rides to a woodland waterfall, silent auction for one-of-a-kind handcrafted items including a handmade Amish quilt, old-fashioned kids games and crafts, artisans at work on items to purchase—woodcarving, painting, spinning and weaving, pottery, antique car show, photography and more.
Delicious country meals and take-home treats will be offered at stands around the grounds, plus a pancake breakfast takes place on Saturday. Run for the prizes in a Fox and Hound race through the scenic Knobs on Forkland’s back roads and byways.
There also will be exhibits from the Forkland Abraham Lincoln Museum, a Salute to Serviceman display, wildlife exhibit, genealogy documents, old farm machinery and tools, and Native American artifacts. And living history skits by descendants of early pioneer settlers will bring historical figures to life in an historic log cabin.
General admission is $3 for adults, $1 for children under 13, and preschoolers are admitted free. Tickets for the supper theatre are $15 for the supper and drama. Drama only is $3. You must have reservations for the supper theatre.
