The Glenview Garden Club presents its 13th annual garden tour on Saturday, June 1, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., and on Sunday, June 2, from noon until 5 p.m., rain or shine. This year's theme will be "Entertaining in the Garden," and each of the six gardens will feature a different aspect of entertaining. A plant sale and the "Trash to Treasures" boutique will also be part of the tour. The cost of the tour is $30. Box lunches provided by Gracious Plenty will be available both days for an additional $10.
Proceeds from the Garden Tour will benefit the Glenview Garden Club's community projects. Most recent projects include Yew Dell Botanical Gardens in Crestwood, the tupelo swamp in Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest, and a major tree planting in 21st Century Parks. The Glenview Garden Club is a member of the Garden Club of America, whose purpose is to restore, improve and protect the quality of the environment through programs of conservation, civic improvement, horticulture, and education.
