Friday, December 6:
Dickens Christmas on Main, tree lighting, carolers, Trail of Treats, live nativity, chili cook-off, and the Lebanon Main Street Parade starting at 7 p.m. Storefronts will be compete in a window-decorating contest with a “Charlie Brown Christmas” theme in recognition of the Kentucky Classic Theatre Production You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. There will be photos with Santa Claus and an Arts & Crafts Fair at the Marion County Heritage Center (Friday, 6 pm - 9 pm and Saturday, 9 am - 4 pm). You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown — great family entertainment presented live on stage by Kentucky Classic Theatre at Angelic Hall at Centre Square. Adults $10, children 12 and under $5. Tickets available at the door or in advance at the Marion County Heritage Center in the old courthouse on Main from 10 am to 4 pm, Monday - Friday, and 10 am to 1 pm, Saturday. 270-699-9455.
Saturday, December 7:
Carol of the Bells, Springfield. 9: 50 a.m. This musical tour features church and community bells ringing different Christmas carols.
Santa Claus Is Coming to Town Walk, Springfield. 10 am, featuring the award-winning Washington County High School Marching Band and St. Catharine College Cheerleaders. Children 12 and under can meet Santa Claus at Washington County Industries (formerly Reeds) on East Main Street to walk to City Hall. They are encouraged to wear a Santa hat. Be at site by 9:45 a.m.
Crafter’s Market & Bakery, Springfield. 10 am to 4 pm. Artisans selling fine arts and crafts at the Louisville Store Building, 101 West Main Street (across from the Judicial Center). Gift-wrapping station available to benefit The Caring Place. Elementary School Art Competition on the 3rd floor.
