Joan Jett and the Blackhearts at the Kentucky State Fair
After a thunderstorm cancelled last year’s free Joan Jett and the Blackhearts concert, the band is back as a part of the 2015 Turf Concert Series held in Cardinal Stadium. The free concert is August 29 at 8 p.m.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, is best known for her hit record "I Love Rock 'n' Roll,’ which was No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1982. The band’s other popular recordings including "Crimson and Clover," "I Hate Myself for Loving You," "Do You Wanna Touch Me," "Light of Day," "Love Is All Around" and "Bad Reputation.”
Rock band Devour The Day will open for Joan Jett and the Blackhearts.
The Kentucky State Fair is August 20-30 at the Kentucky Exposition Center. All Turf Concert Series concerts are free with Kentucky State Fair gate admission.
