Country artist Kenny Rogers will be performing a free concert with special guest Belles and Whistles at the Kentucky State Fair on Tuesday, August 19.
Kenny Rogers is an award-winning singer-songwriter, photographer, record producer, actor, author and entrepreneur. One of the highest-selling artists of all time, with 130 million records sold worldwide, he is also an inductee of the Country Music Hall of Fame and has been voted “Favorite Singer of All Time” in a USA Today and People magazine poll. Rogers was honored with the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2013 Country Music Association Awards and even has two albums featured in About.com’s “200 Most Influential Country Albums Ever.”
Belles and Whistles is a country singer-songwriter duo based in Omaha, Neb. They are not your average female country duo, however; they are also a mother and daughter pair. Their storytelling style shines in their debut single “Boy Like You” (produced by Grammy-winner Don Gehman) and their Top 30 single “Harmless.” Belles and Whistles have opened for artists such as Trace Adkins, Jerrod Niemann, Brett Eldridge, Montgomery Gentry and Scotty McCreery.
