Lexington Children’s Theatre Presents A Thousand Cranes
Don't miss two last opportunities to see A Thousand Cranes, presented by the Lexington Children's Theatre.
Hiroshima-born Sadako faces the battle of her life when she is told that she has leukemia, the "atom bomb disease." Recalling a Japanese legend, Sadako sets to work folding paper cranes. According to the legend, if a person folds 1,000 cranes the gods will grant them a wish. Will Sadako finish making the cranes in time to have her health restored? Based on a true story, A Thousand Cranes celebrates the extraordinary courage that made one young woman a heroine in Japan.
