Recording artist, Marlowe Shepherd, is touring in support of his self-titled debut release available exclusively on vinyl.
He will be performing at A Cup of Commonwealth on February 18, from 5 - 7 pm.
Marlowe Shepherd does not acknowledge a culture of spotify-lists, cheap paté, nor a world full of bestselling albums served up at petrol stations.
The Loss Leader Tour takes Marlowe through 41 cities in 41 days. He will perform in at least three locations per day including in-store performances, nursing homes, coffee shops, restuarants, and conventional music clubs. This is a fully independent tour with no agent, manager, publicist, or tour support. Marlowe Shepherd is truly a one-man band and he has the luxury of answering to no one.
“The Lonesome Highway has had a lot of casualties over the years. Few survivors like Johnny Cash, Tom Waits, Gram Parsons, and Jackson Browne have found a way to capture that struggle, longing, and pain into music that has captured even the most blackest of hearts. It’s only a matter of time that Marlowe Shepherd will take his place among the mavericks, gunslingers, and troubadours mentioned above.” Royal Flush.
