The Lexington Council Garden Clubs invites you to take a “Peek Behind the Garden Gate” on Saturday, June 6, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday, June 7, 1-5 p.m. The Council’s 2015 Open Gates to Bluegrass Living Garden Tour will showcase 10 diverse gardens from the suburbs to a serene rural setting. Whether you are a gardener, a homeowner, or just enjoy beauty and tranquility, come join us—rain or shine—and visit some of Lexington’s most inspiring gardens.

Our biennial fundraising event provides scholarships to University of Kentucky students who are majoring in horticulture and allied fields. Additional grant recipients from past tours include historic preservation at the Hunt Morgan House, Waveland and The Wallis Home (state headquarters for the Garden Club of Kentucky); educational activities at libraries, schools, the Fayette County Extension, and the Arboretum; and landscaping for the Hope Center, the Ronald McDonald House, the Markey Cancer Center Meditation Garden, and numerous Monarch Waystations throughout Lexington.
Tickets are $15 and may be purchased from garden club members, at area independently owned garden centers, and at garden sites on the day of the tour.
