Have you ever wondered what it is like to undergo a spiritual pilgrimage? The immense popularity of Shirley MacLain’s book, El Camino, and Martin Sheen’s movie, The Way, has sparked an interest in undertaking such a journey.
Cheri Powell has walked the 500 miles of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage twice. At Preparing for a Pilgrimage, she will give a talk on her experiences and give advice for others who desire to make the journey. Her book, Seven Tips to Make the Most of the Camino de Santiago, provides additional information and details.
This presentation will explore the Camino de Santiago: the mental, emotional, physical, spiritual and logistical preparation necessary. Bring your questions and your enthusiasm and prepare to be inspired.
Preparing for a Pilgrimage takes place Saturday, October 11, 1-3 p.m. and Tuesday, October 14, 6:30-8:30 at Rainbow Blossom, 3046 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40205.
