Shining like the Sun: Stories from the Heart of Louisville
The Frazier History Museum invites you to tell YOUR STORY about respect, compassion, forgiveness and faith-in-action. Moderated by Louisville Public Media’s Executive Editor, Stephen George, this Moth-style storytelling program will feature true, personal stories inspired by the themes of Thomas Merton’s famous epiphany in 1958 at the corner of 4th and Walnut Streets in Louisville: “I was suddenly overwhelmed with the realization that I loved all those people, that they were mine and I theirs, that we could not be alien to one another even though we were total strangers … And if only everybody could realize this! But it cannot be explained. There is no way of telling people that they are all walking around shining like the sun.”
Cash bar. $5 general admission/FREE to Frazier members and Bellarmine University students, staff, faculty. Limited seating, reservations are recommended.
