This demonstration by Dr. John Strang, University of Kentucky Fruit and Vegetable Extension Specialist, for home fruit enthusiasts will cover pruning and fertilizing blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, gooseberries, and currants.
Pruning and fertilizing are essential for maintaining plant health and vigor. Knowing where the flower buds are located on dormant wood is important in determining how to prune and to maximize the production of large, sweet berries.
The cost is $5; Friends of The Arboretum, $4.
