The Bristol Bar & Grille will host Meeker Vineyard co-owner Molly Meeker Wednesday, June 11, at 7 p.m. for a Special Wine Dinner at its Jeffersonville location, 700 West Riverside Drive.
Executive chef Richard Doering has created a four-course menu that includes lobster Napoleon and red wine-poached pears to pair with five Meeker wines aged at the family-run vineyard in Sonoma. The main course of oven-roasted New York strip steak includes two wines, each of which will highlight different flavors in the dish.
The cost is $60 per person and includes wine pairings. Tax and gratuity are not included. For reservations, call 812-218-1995.
Meeker and her husband, Charlie, purchased the winery in 1977 and released their first red wine, a 1984 Zinfandel, which won eight wine competition medals, the third most for a Zinfandel that year. In 2007, their son Lucas joined the family-business as co-winemaker.
