The Filson Historical Society Presents “Young Faces in Old Spaces”
Self-Guided Tour Encourages Biking to Old Homes that have been Given New Life by a New Generation
WHO: The Filson Historical Society presents “Young Faces in Old Spaces,”
WHAT: a self-guided tour including Bikes, Brats and Beer, and that highlights beautifully restored homes, now occupied by some of Louisville’s most noted young professionals and their families
WHERE: Various locations throughout the city, which will be mapped for attendees
Picnic Dinner at The Filson Historical Society, 1310 South Third Street
WHEN: Sunday, May 17, 2015, Touring: 1:00 – 5:00 p.m., Picnic: 5:00-7:00 p.m.
MORE: Homes on the tour include those of Teddy Abrams, Music Director, Louisville Orchestra, Robert Curran, Artistic Director, Louisville Ballet, and many more young professionals, artists and entrepreneurs who have chosen to make Louisville their home.
Guests are invited to spend an afternoon touring the homes followed by a picnic dinner at The Filson Historical Society. Attendees may begin at any of the homes on the tour.
Attendees are encouraged to ride their bicycle to their destination. Street parking will be available for those who choose to drive. Bicycling for Louisville will provide bike racks at locations without adequate bike parking.
Those who sign up by May 14 will be mailed a map and addresses of the tour, identifying wristbands, and drink tickets. After May 14, packets must be picked up at The Filson.
