Trades Fair at the Homeplace 1850s
This Labor Day weekend, the Homeplace 1850s is celebrating the hard labor and hand work skills of our ancestors during our Trades Fair. At a time when few things were manufactured, people had to rely on their skills or their neighbors to produce everything from knitted socks to horseshoes. Visit with local historical trades and craft people as they share their skills and knowledge of these lost folk arts. Hand crafted items will be available for purchase. See the Homeplace Trades Fair Gazette for more information and a listing of 2015 Trades and Craft folks.
