Wayne County Heritage Festival, hosted by the Wayne County Historical Society and Mill Springs Battlefield Association, Inc., on the grounds of the Historic Brown-Lanier House in Mill Springs on Saturday, August 31, from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. ET.
Join us for food, fun and history! Come early for the famous Lion’s Club Pancake Breakfast beginning at 8 a.m. Artists, musicians, tradesmen, gardeners, craftsmen, re-enactors and sulters on site.
Two historic houses and the famous Mill Springs grist mill will be open for tours, with demonstrations of meal grinding. There also will be demonstrations of historical farming, cooking and various heritage skills. Evening entertainment will last until dusk and include outstanding musical groups.
Mill Springs in Wayne County is the site of a famous Civil War battle and home of the world-famous gristmill. One of the most historic areas in Lake Cumberland Region.
