We are honored to welcome a true Kentucky connoisseur, Bruce Richardson, to Woodford Reserve for an evening of exploration of the flavors of Woodford Reserve and some of the world's finest teas, brought to us by Elmwood Inn.
Richardson is "a leading tea expert involved in tea's American renaissance for over 20 years." The native Kentuckian is a writer, photographer, tea blender and frequent guest speaker at tea events across the country. He often can be found appearing on television and radio talk shows or as a guest speaker at professional seminars such as World Tea Expo.
Richardson recently was named Tea Master for the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum. He is defining tea's historical role in this iconic event that helped shape America's destiny.
He regularly visits Great Britain in his unending quest to discover new tea shops for the latest edition of his Great Tea Rooms of Britain. His other photo-guidebook,The Great Tea Rooms of America, is in its fourth edition. Richardson also has contributed, edited and co-authored many additional books about tea and its historic and cultural influences.
Tour the historic distillery at 6:30 p.m., then join us in the Dryer House for a special tea tasting and cocktail with Tea Master Bruce Richardson, followed by a multi-course tea-inspired dinner created by Chef-de-Cuisine Nat Henton and Sous Chef Charles Taylor.
The event is $50 per person, plus tax and gratuity, and is only for those guests who are 21 years of age or older. A credit card number must be given to secure a reservation.
