Woodsongs presents Celtic Aire and The Tennessee Mafia Jug Band
Celtic Aire is the premier Celtic and folk ensemble of the United States Air Force. Formed in 2007, the group is comprised of five Airmen musicians from The United States Air Force Band's Singing Sergeants, the official chorus of the U.S. Air Force. In addition to community relations concerts in Washington, D.C., and the surrounding area, this small ensemble regularly performs at official functions for military and civilian leaders. The band has developed a large repertoire of Celtic folk songs, Irish reels and jigs, pub songs, and even cover versions of pop songs.
Leroy Troy and the Tennessee Mafia Jug Band is comprised of "five guys and a scrubboard" and consider themselves a "blast from the past" band. The band is headed by Leroy Troy, "The Tennessee Slicker," who has performed his astounding old time banjo act since the 1980's.
