Quick and Easy Dinner Rolls

2 cups self-rising flour

2 tablespoons butter-flavored

shortening

1 package yeast

1/4 cup warm water

3/4 cup skim milk

Combine the flour and shortening in a large mixing bowl and blend using a pastry cutter. Blend until the mixture becomes the consistency of crumbles. Combine the yeast and the warm water and stir. Pour the yeast mixture into the flour mixture. Add the milk and stir using a large wooden spoon until the mixture leaves the sides of the bowl. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead until all the flour is incorporated. Let rest about 20 minutes. Roll the dough out to 1/2-inch thickness and cut rolls using a circle cutter. Place the rolls on an ungreased baking sheet, cover and let rise for about 1 hour. Bake at 400 degrees until brown.
