Viola, after losing everything in a shipwreck, disguises herself to work for the Duke Orsino, whom she falls in love with. Orsino is madly taken with the Countess Olivia and sends Viola to court her for him, but Olivia falls for the disguised Viola instead. When Viola’s presumed dead twin brother arrives, a flood of mistaken identity sweeps over the people of Illyria. Shenanigans ensue with all of the classic Shakespearean tropes packed into one play, culminating in a comedy that is bound to have your sides splitting.

What to Expect

Bard in the Yard shows, such as Twelfth Night, are held in MHT's Courtyard Theatre, an outdoor venue with a covered performance area. Patrons are asked to bring their own chairs and/or blankets to sit on. We encourage to plan for any kind of weather and bring an umbrella or ponchos in the case of rain.

Rain or Shine Event

All events will be held outside in our Courtyard Theatre until announced otherwise. Moved performances will perform in Market House Theatre's Studio 200 (209 Marine Way) at the same scheduled time (unless announced otherwise). MHT will post announcements via Facebook & Instagram.
