The Kentucky Monthly Doomsday Cocktail
2 ounces rum
¾ ounce lime juice
1 ounce simple syrup
½ ounce Fernet
6-7 fresh mint leaves
1. Place mint leaves in shaker along with simple syrup, muddle until the mint is aromatic and add ice.
2. Add rum, lime juice and Fernet to cocktail shaker, and then shake until the outside is frosted.
3. Strain contents into a glass over ice and enjoy!
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1. Combine sugar and water in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly until sugar has dissolved.
2. Let cool.
